Benefits of Conjugated linoleic acid

Conjugated linoleic acid or CLA is an omega-6 polyunsaturated essential fatty acid, which provides support, flexibility, and structure to cell membranes. There are numerous benefits which make it a very important and essential part of daily nutrition. Some of the benefits include bodybuilding, anti-heart disease effects, anti-cancer effects, body fat reduction and so much more. Studies have also proven that Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a potent anti-oxidant, anti-carcinogen, and anti-catabolite, as well as a powerful immune system enhancer. Some of the common accolades of CLA are assistance in fat burning, building and retention of lean muscle, and is a cancer fighter. Therefore because of the above listed benefits and more, people are always encouraged to eat foods loaded with this potent ingredient.

A study published in August 2004 in “Food Chemistry” by the Linus Pauling Institute reports that for foods with conjugated linoleic acid, its content is always maintained even after frying, boiling or even when baking.
